	Lord French さんの投稿: March and Such were busy but they told me you'd written about beards so I thought I'd take a gander. Reminds me of the family beard that was grown in honour of Henry defeating Richard in 1485 by an ancestor of mine, at his funeral the beard was removed and bestowed upon his 6 year old son. The beard was passed down from generation to generation; it was passed to the female line in 1643 when Robert French died without a male heir, for 30 years Madeleine French wore the beard before it was passed to her son. That made for some fascinating portraits I can tell you! Nowadays the ancestral beard itself is too fragile to be worn so we wear a facsimile for all state occasions. We've started a trust fund for the restoration of the beard to its former glory, any donations are gratefully received. 4 月 9 日
